Why We Do It

The International Food and Wine Experience of Charlottesville, an event that includes seminars where fine foods will be paired with fine wines, champagne breakfasts, a Grand Tasting, a Blind Tasting, and a final evening Grand Banquet, is designed to promote Greater Charlottesville, “Wine Capital of the East.” This will be the first time Virginia wineries will be into the global wine environment, making this event a natural fit for the region. “The Experience” will benefit the community by the infusion of capital into the local economy and will unite many community partnerships providing a vehicle to fund scholarships to Virginia residents going to Virginia colleges and universities.
